2012 BRIGHTON MARATHON In what seemed like a good idea at the time I appear to be running in the 2012 Brighton Marathon, despite not having run since school PE lessons, and then only because I had to. However the chance came up to join the team running for St Barnabas House hospice in Worthing, and life is too short to let such opportunities pass by without at least giving it a go. St Barnabas House provides palliative care and support to people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. Since working as a volunteer one morning a week at St Barnabas I am constantly inspired by the enthusiasm and dedication of the staff and fellow volunteers, and lifted by the heartfelt stories of those helped by this local charity. All care is provided to all who need it free of charge.
